The all new online shop has been running successfully now for 4 months. We are pleased to be able to offer NMA and related merchandise (including CDs, clothing and jewellery) direct to you. We ship any where in the world at Royal Mail rates (plus a small handling charge) and have so far sent orders to destinations as far flung as Alaska, Moscow, New Zealand and Hawaii.
  Enter New Shop here.

Digital Download Store

Due to overwhelming demand at the providers of our Download Store - 7digital - it is unfortunately taking longer that we would like for you product to make it into the store. This is being addressed and we are assured that they will be able to update the store with many hard to find titles as soon as they can. Currently just HIGH and the EMI catalogue are available but we are working hard to get the rest of it up as quickly as possible. Follow the link on the side bar or click here.

North America

Despite the best efforts of the Immigration Service, Customs & Border Patrol, IRS and the weather, the recently completed North American tour was one of our most successful ever. Response to the shows has been overwhelming and we are very grateful to everyone involved. Apologies again to those that turned out in Minneapolis to find us cancelled. We did everything we could to make it to the show, but the border delay combined with the worst driving conditions we have ever experienced, made it impossible. We will make it back.

The audiences at the shows are what make these tours worth all the effort and we will not let bureaucracy stand in the way of our coming back with the next album

The album was recorded and mixed in south west London during March, April and May of this year. We are delighted to have finally got to make an entire album with our old friend Chris Kimsey who produced and mixed the whole project. Focused and guitar driven HIGH is set to be a classic among NMA recording and has been receiving great reviews all over the world. These are currently popping up on the Noticeboard and we will collate a selection once the album has been out a few weeks.

Chris and the band have tried to make at least three albums together during their respective long careers and did actually only manage to work together once - Chris produced the "Gimme Shelter" single that was recorded with Tom Jones in '94. Subsequently he asked to re-mix a track from "Carnival" - BD3, which became the lead track on the EP. It then became natural for Chris to work on the new album, with exceptional results as you will hear.

Interestingly, while mixing the album at Sphere Studios in Battersea, who should walk in but Glyn Johns, with whom we made The Ghost of Cain in 1987 and with whom Chris trained as a studio engineer and producer working on other classic albums such The Rolling Stones "Sticky Fingers". And they say the world is getting bigger.................

HIGH Live album?

We recorded the December shows and are currently listening back to see if there is enough to produce another live album as good, if not better, than "...& Nobody Else"

Mushroom Magazine - re-mix contest. Ended Jan 31

Re-mix contest is now over. Visit Mushrooms web-site and hear NMA like you have never neard them before. Thanks to all the mixers who took the time to get involved in this. The variety of styles is remarkable.

NMA Noticeboard

A brand new Noticeboard is now available for population. We are sorry, but so far we have been unable to recover messages and registration details from the old board. We are still trying, but didn't want to wait any longer. The link in the menu will take you there. Due to the problems created by the posting of large mp3s on the old board, attachments have been disabled on the new one.

Many thanks to Joolz and all involved at www.joolz-denby.co.uk for the temporary home for the past few weeks. The new board is now running well and appears bug free (so far)

Köln Palladium 2006 WDR Broadcast

The Palladium show from last December was expertly filmed and recorded by WDR (German TV) and was broadcast for the first time on February 4th. It will be repeated later in the year. We are currently negotiating to make the whole show available on DVD via The Shop.

NEW MODEL ARMY Art & Artefacts Exhibition

The much acclaimed exhibition of NMA artwork, photos and memorabilia - most the work of inspirational artist and writer Joolz Denby - has now finished it's run in Salford, Manchester. Having previously been exhibited in Bradford and Hamm, Germany (Bradford's twin town) it will shortly be moving to a new location. Details will be posted here when we have them.

Below are some images from the exhibitions time in Germany, but of course there is much, much more than this.
