GENERAL
This shop has been set up by the band to provide you with access to NMA recordings and merchandise which can be hard to find away from the gigs. We aim to keep the stock as current as possible while keeping small stocks of older items as well.
You may find that certain items, particularly some CD titles, are available cheaper elsewhere. We apologize for this but do not pretend to be able to compete with the Amazons or HMVs of this world. However we do promise that if it listed below (and does not state otherwise) the items are available for purchase today.
We aim to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible. Allowing for postal transit time, your order should be with you within 14 days of your placing it (subject to stock availability).
SHIPPING
All orders will be shipped via the Royal Mail. Foreign orders (those from outside the UK where we are based) will be sent airmail. Packages over 2kg in total weight will be split into smaller units - this will speed up your receipt of the products. You will not be charged any extra when we do this. Please see below for details of our charging bands and how we calculate the post and packaging (p&p) charges.
If you wish to have your goods shipped to a different address, hit the "ship to different address" button, after you have filled in the billing information (cardholder details). Then hit the "recalculate after making changes" button which tells the software to look for the new information.
ORDER PROCESSING AND SECURITY
Your orders are processed by NETBANX who are the UK's most popular and established gateway and are approved by all the major clearing banks. The credit card information you enter is secure at all times and is separated from this site. Your orders are routed via Netbanx who withhold payment until we confirm that the item is ready for shipment. We never even see your full card number (only the last four and the expiration date for security).
You will notice a couple of things about the shop: When you "order" an item you will be taken straight to the check-out. To continue shopping you will need to click on the relevant button. This will take you back to the shop itself. This is a characteristic of the shop soft ware which is out of our control and we acknowledge is a bit of a pain. On some browsers a "Security Alert" window might pop up advising you that you are leaving a secure environment (the check-out) and returning to an insecure one (the shop). If you feel unsure that your credit card details will remain secure (we assure you they will) while moving between check out and shop, our advice is to only enter your card details when you have finished shopping.
N.B. When you hit the "Buy Now" button it will look like nothing has happened. Don't worry, confirmation of your order will be emailed to you when you will have the option to continue with the purchase or cancel it.
PAYMENT METHODS
All transactions are in £ sterling and conversion rates are available from your local bank.
We are able to accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and SWITCH/MAESTRO via the on line shop. Please fill in the required information on the check out form.
HOWEVER - If you do not have a credit or debit
card you can still order merchandise by simply filling in the order form with
your details in the correct boxes, ignore the credit card details, and print a hard copy which should be posted to the address below
along with your payment. Please note that we can only accept postal orders, personal cheques
in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank or International Money Orders (in
Sterling) made payable to: "New Model Army
Merchandise" and crossed payee only. If ordering using this method, please allow an extra
7 days for clearance of your cheque.
EURO CHEQUES. UK banks sadly no longer accept Euro cheques
so neither can we. Any other payment
method cannot be processed.
"AUTHORIZATION COULD NOT BE PERFORMED"
Occasionally some customers are
receiving the above message when attempting to purchase an item in the shop. There
are some common causes for this. Please try these before shouting at your PC!
1. You have made a change to your order and have not hit the "recalculate
after making changes button". It is always a good idea to hit this button
just before the "But Now" one. This applies especially if your
shipping address is different to your billing one.
2. You are purchasing from outside the UK and have not done so before. Sometimes
your bank will prevent this as it is not within your normal purchasing pattern. A simple call to your card issuer is normally
enough to cure this.
3. The expiry date for your card has been entered incorrectly.
STOCK AND PRICES
We reserve the right to alter prices in the shop without notice, but be assured that value for your money is one of our highest priorities.
If an item is flagged as "Temporarily Out Of Stock" it means just that. You may order it but your entire order will not be processed until it can be filled in full. If we are unable supply the required item within one month from our receipt of your order we will fulfill the remainder of the order and refund the value (including postage) of the unobtainable item. Items that are no longer available will be deleted from the site.
Orders will be fulfilled in the order they are received. If a particular item becomes unavailable after your order has been placed (for example end of run t shirts that are limited in number and sell out during the normal daily processing of orders) we will contact you by email (or post) for advice.

THESE ARE CALCULATED AUTOMATICALLY IN THE SHOP AND APPEAR ON THE CHECKOUT. Details of how they are calculated appear below.
Normal - Royal Mail/Air Mail
Please note that as of August 21st 2006 shipping within the UK is based on size as well as weight. This affects the shipping costs for larger items and multiple purchases.
Your order will be sent by First Class
mail within the UK and by Airmail (small packet) rate elsewhere in the world.
The minimum charge is for 100g (the weight of a single CD with a small booklet)
and we charge per 20g (or 250g in the case of UK mainland items) thereafter. Charges are calculated on the weight of the items ordered
(using prices as published by the Royal Mail)
and not the packaging or any extra item we may slip in from time to time! As
stated above, orders over 2kg will be split into smaller packages.
A £1.00 (£1.50 for Registered Mail) handling and packaging charge will be
added to each order.
We have split the
areas of the world into 3 charging bands. These have been robbed directly from
the Royal Mail. They are:
UK Domestic (inc Northern Ireland)
Europe
Everywhere else (previously World Zones 1 & 2)
As a rough guide, a normal weight CD (<120g) should cost £1.61 to ship inside the UK, £2.21 in Europe, £2.66 to the Rest of the World. A single T Shirt (XL) costs from £2.21, £2.80 and £3.68 respectively. However the two together would cost from £2.60 (UK), £3.39 (Eur), £4.81 (RoW), a saving of up to £1.54 on ordering individually.
Please also note that with weight trigger points now at 250g intervals, the cost of shipping 4 CDs will be the same as shipping 2................................
Registered Mail (signed for)
We also offer you the option to have your package delivered by registered mail. This method has the added security of requiring a signature upon delivery.

special delivery (£5.95 up to 500g, £7.10 1kg, £8.80 2kg instead of normal
rates)
Rest of the World - Air Mail cost plus £5.00 (£3.50 Royal Mail fee plus
our £1.50 handling charge)
These postage prices are correct as of Royal Mail charge increases and system changes on August 21st 2006. We reserve the right in increase postage charges in line with any increases the Royal Mail may make.
Legal Stuff
Your right to cancel
In accordance with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel your order (or any part thereof) provided:
you inform us of you desire to cancel within 7 (seven) days of receipt of the goods (the so called "cooling off" period) in writing to the address above or by email to cancel@newmodelarmy.org including full details of your order.
you return the goods in good condition, unopened (in the case of printed matter, audio and video products) or unworn (in the case of clothing products) at your expense. We strongly recommend that items are returned via registered post.
Upon receipt of the goods (in good condition) we shall refund your full purchase price within 14 days.
Use of your information
The information you provide to us through this site may be held and used by us for any of the following purposes: order processing, administration of customers' orders and/or accounts, dealing with enquiries or complaints, crime and fraud prevention, marketing our products and services generally or for sending information to you about our products from time to time. If you do not wish to receive any information other than products ordered please let us know buy clicking here.
Governing Law and Contract Formation
No contract will subsist between you and us for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until we accept your order by email confirming that we have shipped your product. That acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed for all purposes to have been effectively communicated to you at the time we send the email to you (whether or not you receive that email). For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in England and any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and you and we irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
PLEASE NOTE that the order form MUST be filled in precisely including County/State and Country in the correct fields. The default country is the United Kingdom. This will change when you fill in your details and hit the recalculate button. Orders that do not contain accurate information WILL NOT be processed.
